As NCDP works to create change in the U.S. system of health care and move it toward and ideal diabetes environment, we will continue to collaborate with member associations in the diabetes community to examine and respond to other critical issues.

Future NCDP areas of focus may include:

• Addressing the lack of proper care for people with diabetes
• Exploring opportunities with payers and providers of health care insurance
• Working to increase knowledge among health care professionals and caregivers
